Activities for Families with Young Children
Saturday, March 3rd - Movie Night Family Movie Night- - Come and watch CARS 2 with other Christ Lutheran families. We will provide the snack and movie, just bring your family and guests if you would like! Movie will start at 6pm and will be showing in our illustrious gym with High Definition picture and sound.Sunday, March 4th -Movie-Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax - The movie version of this well-known Dr. Seuss book is coming to the big screen. We plan to get a group together for a matinee showing. Please email jdoyle@cclphoenix.org to let us know if you will attend. If you would like a guaranteed, pre-paid ticket, you will need to have money turned in by Wednesday, February 29, by 3pm. Time and location are TBD
Saturday, April 14th - CPR Class for Parents Do you have children? Has it been a while since you were CPR certified? Those questions are true for many of us, so we will be hosting a 3-hour CPR class designed specifically for parents with young children. The church will be taking care of part of the cost, but each participant will be responsible for an additional $15 fee. We have spots reserved for 10 participants, so please email jdoyle@cclphoenix.org right away to reserve your spot in the class. Meeting place on campus TBA
April ?- McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park- date TBD All aboard… the fun starts at 1pm when we will meet in front of the park. Admission into the park is free and rides are just $2. Saturday, May 5th- Mother’s Day Pottery It is the time of year when we celebrate our mother and why not give the gift of hand-painted pottery? Dads can come with their child and make a special gift for their Mom or Moms can come and enjoy the experience with their child. Either way, it is a way to make a special memory for Mom. We will meet at AS YOU WISH located in the Tempe Marketplace shopping center. The cost will be around $17 per child and the exact time is TBA. Saturday, May 12th-Splash Pad at Chesnutt Park It’s going to be hot, so how about gathering at Chesnutt Park in Scottsdale!? The address is 4565 N. Granite Reef Rd. There is a great spash and spray pad, as well as playground. We will bring the popsicles, you bring your sunscreen. Time: 2-4pm. Please email jdoyle@cclphoenix.org so that we bring enough refreshments
