Christ Cares for Kids cares for the basic needs of children NB-5 years of age in a warm, loving environment. Over 95% of the families we serve fall below the federal poverty level. Christ Cares for Kids is open Mondays, from 4:30pm-7:30pm, and on Wednesdays from 9am-11am, at Christ Cares Ministries, 4018 N. 40th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85018.

On a physical level, we provide needy families with diapers, clothing, and other items for children ages NB-5 years. On a spiritual level, we pray with families, we encourage children to memorize scripture, and we act as Jesus’ hands and feet. Also we offer classes in parenting, budgeting, and nutrition. It is our desire to promote healthy families, to create relationships based on our faith in Jesus Christ, and to share His love. We offer Compassion, Assistance, Respect, Empowerment, and Salvation! “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3:17 NKJV

Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PALS) provides hope and support through addiction education for parents dealing with an addicted loved one. A group meets each Monday evening from 7pm-8:30pm.

PALS aims to help parents or other family members deal with issues arising from an addicted loved one. These issues tend to be more alike than different, which is precisely why these groups work. Members quickly realize they are not alone, a big relief in and of itself. PALS is parents helping parents through addiction education and support. Please join us in the chapel at Christ Church Lutheran, 3901 East Indian School Road. You are not alone! For additional information, contact Trish Karpurk at 602.955.4830, x 1005, or email her at
